New Kiwi Women Write Their Stories

Seeking ‘New Kiwi’ Women Writers

Are you a writer, beginner or established, who has immigrated to New Zealand from another country?

We’re looking for ‘New Kiwi’ women to participate in an exciting workshop series.

Learn and develop your creative writing skills with professional guidance.

Workshops will be led by established and award winning New Zealand women writers. The programme is facilitated by Renee Liang, and past writer-tutors have included Janet Charman, Johanna Emeney, Miriam Barr, Paula Morris, Riemke Ensing, Sarah Liang, Siobhan Harvey.

Participants of all nationalities and writing abilities are welcome. A reasonable understanding of written and spoken English is recommended. Workshops groups run for four sessions over one month and participants will have an opportunity for their work to be published. Preference will be given to those who can attend all four workshops.

Where and when:

• Group One: Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. November 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd. The Pah Homestead, TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre, 72 Hillsborough Rd, Hillsborough

• Group Two: Sundays from 9:00am to 12.30pm. November 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd. Wesley Community Centre, 740 Sandringham Rd, Sandringham

Cost: Free (bookings are essential).
