New Beginnings Winter 2013 edition: Book Launch!!

Auckland Council invite you to a community reading and book launch event in Mt Albert, on the afternoon of Sunday 23 June.

This event is to celebrate the successful conclusion of a creative writing workshop series for migrant women that happened May-June 2013 at the Sandringham Community Centre, supported by the Albert-Eden Local Board. The workshops were led by well known New Zealand writers, Renee Liang, Riemke Ensing, Paula Morris, Sarah Laing, Siobhan Harvey, and Miriam Barr.

28 women from 23 countries took part in this exciting programme and examples of their work are collected in New Beginnings: New Kiwi Women Write.

Books will be available for sale and there will be afternoon tea, so please join the writers to celebrate!
